The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020”, (S.R. 2020 No. 270 which comes into operation on 10 December 2020.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Armagh, Ballymena, Banbridge, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Castlederg, Clady, Keady, Lisburn and Newtownards.
All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.
The Rule will also remove parking places in Ballywalter, Dundrum, Larne and Londonderry and amend the conditions of an existing parking place in Dundrum.
During the current Covid-19 restrictions, a copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged by telephoning 0300 200 7899.
