The Mayfield High Street, Newtownabbey (Abandonment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Mayfield High Street, Newtownabbey (Abandonment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 131), which comes into operation on 7th October 2026.
The Rule will abandon an area of 32 square metres of road and footway at Mayfield High Street, Newtownabbey commencing at a point 70 metres east of the Mayfield Link Road junction for a distance of 7.5 metres.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only.
