    The 20 mph speed limit applies to 76 streets in Belfast City Centre. The area covered is the main pedestrian zone, Cathedral Quarter and the roads at the front and back of the City Hall.It is hoped that the 20 mph limit will reduce the number and severity of collisions in this area. It will also improve conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.
