The Regulations are required to revoke defunct and superfluous legislative provisions transposing European Directives namely the Harbour Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and the Harbour Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007.
