Environmental Impact Assessments for Canal Schemes and Marina Works - Screening form

The Department is making statutory provision to ensure that canal schemes and marina works under Part III of The Water Order 1999, which would have a significant impact on the environment, would be subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in line with the EU Directive – 2011/92/EU, as amended by Directive 2014/52/EU, and relevant EIA regulations elsewhere within the Department, such as Planning.
