Departmental Response to Public Consultation - Planning Application Validation Checklists

The Department held a consultation from 4 November 2022 to 6 January 2023 on changes to improve the quality of planning applications.  The purpose of this consultation was to seek stakeholder’s views on the Department’s proposal to amend The Planning (General Development Procedure) Order (NI) 2015 to provide for the introduction of ‘validation checklists’ to address ‘poor quality’ or ‘incomplete’ applications entering the planning system.

Details

The Department received a total of 39 responses from a range of stakeholders and all responses have been considered in preparation of this report.
