The Control of Traffic (Durham Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Control of Traffic (Durham Street, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 97), which comes into operation on 15th June 2026.
The Rule will provide cycle lanes and cycle tracks on lengths of Albert Street, College Square North and Durham Street, Belfast and prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of College Square North and Durham Street, Belfast.
The Rule will also revoke certain existing provisions for cycle lanes, cycle tracks and no waiting at any time prohibitions.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only.
