The scheme will:
- prohibit all vehicles other than buses, cycles and disabled persons’ vehicles from entering York Street, Belfast at its junction with Donegall Street and at its junction with Frederick Street/Great Patrick Street;
- prohibit all vehicles from entering a length of Curtis Street, Belfast at its junction with York Street and at a point 15 metres south-east of that junction.
- prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Curtis Street, Belfast and suspend pay and display parking places at the same location; and
- provide parking places with unlimited waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles on lengths of York Street, Belfast and suspend the pay and display parking places at the same location.
Vehicles are excepted from the prohibitions in certain circumstances.
Inspecting the proposal
Full details are contained in the draft scheme which together with a map showing the roads involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at DfI Roads Eastern Division, Traffic Management 3, Annexe 7, Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4 3SQ.
Inspection of the draft scheme and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
Making an objection
Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk within a period of 22 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
