    The Northern Ireland Executive (NIE) is committed to supporting a prosperous economy and protecting the environment. In support of this the NIE signed up to the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate, which requires the phasing out of the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans from 2030, with a target for all new car and van sales to be ZEVs from 2035.
