    Date published: 7 March 2018

A £220,000 investment will bring 106 new park and share spaces to complement the existing 63 spaces at Sheepbridge, Newry.

This additional provision will safely cater for those road users who are unable to utilise the existing oversubscribed facilities and also allow for bus pick up and drop off.

The public is encouraged to use these new facilities to park their vehicles and travel onwards in a shared vehicle to their place of work or study. This reduces congestion, improves journey times and is better for the environment.

Work has commenced on site and is expected to last for around 8 weeks.

The Department for Infrastructure will continue to identify further sites for park and ride and park and share on key commuting corridors.
