A resurfacing scheme at A45 Ballynakilly Road, Tamnamore is due to commence on Monday 23 October 2023.

    Road resurfacing

The work includes carriageway strengthening and resurfacing of 520 metres of the A45 carriageway from 120 metres South of Drumaspil Road to 400 metres North of Drumaspil Road.

To help ensure the safety of those using the road and to facilitate the works it will be necessary to operate two full road closures daily from 9.15 am to 4.30 pm from Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October and from Wednesday 1 November to Friday 10 November.

During these periods signed diversions will be in place as follows:

Non Motorway Traffic – Far Circular Road – Killyman Road – Tamnamore Road.

The Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimize inconvenience to the public. Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure. Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.Completion of the work by 10 November is subject to favorable weather conditions, however, the Department will keep the public informed of any change. All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
