The resurfacing works will extend from a point 100m North of Mettican Road for 760 metres toward Coleraine. The resurfacing works will deliver significant improvements to both the structural integrity and surface quality of this busy trunk road between Coleraine and Maghera for many years to come.

The scheme will be carried during the working day, Monday to Friday, using a convoy system to accommodate through traffic. Some delays are to be expected at peak times.

Subject to favourable weather conditions all work will be completed by 10 November 2023 however, the Department will keep the public informed of any unforeseen changes.

The Department has programmed the work operations and traffic management arrangements to minimise inconvenience, however, drivers are advised to allow additional time for their journey.

In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with extra care when travelling in the vicinity of the works.
