    A £80,000 road improvement scheme on Church Road, Ederney will begin on Wednesday 18 March 2020.

    Raking whilst resurfacing a footway

    The improvement works will include resurfacing a 400 metre stretch of road from its junction with New Street and is due to be completed on Wednesday 25 March 2020.

    To facilitate the works it will necessary to operate a road closure between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on weekdays for the duration of the works.

    A two way traffic diversion will be in place between Kesh and Castlederg via Drumwhinny Road, Fairgreen Street, Pound Street, Dromore Road, Tummery Road, Dooish Road, Omagh Road, Castlederg Road and Drumquinn Road.

    Traffic approaching from Omagh will be diverted via Dooish Road, Tummery Road, Pound Street and Drunwhinny Road.

    Advanced warning and diversion signage will be in place. To help ensure the safety of road users and road workers the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to exercise care when travelling through, or in the vicinity of, the works.

    Access will be maintained for local residents during road closure periods and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

    Whilst the Department has programmed these works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise the inconvenience to the public, road users should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time when planning their journey.
