A £100,000 carriageway reconstruction scheme on the Wattlebridge Road, Newtownbutler will start on Monday 5 November.
The work on a 0.2 kilometre stretch of the road will strengthen the road surface and remove the need for the temporary traffic signals that have been in operation since May.
The scheme will require full closures of the Wattlebridge Road from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm from Monday to Friday each week for the duration of works.
A two way diversion route will be signposted from the junction of Bridge Street / Main Street Newtownbutler via A34 Main St. Newtownbutler, A34 Clones Road to Clones and via A3 Cavan Road to B533 Wattlebridge Road.
Access for emergency vehicles will be accommodated. Whilst the Department has carefully planned these works and associated traffic management arrangements to minimise any inconvenience to the public, motorists should expect some delays and allow additional time when planning any journeys.
Work is expected to be completed by 30 November, however this will be dependent on favourable weather conditions and on the progress of the scheme.
