Owner of valuable watch found

A valuable watch, which was found in Portaferry in autumn 2016, has been returned to its rightful owner.
The watch had been handed to the crew of the Strangford Ferry. Despite attempts by Department for Infrastructure (DfI) and the PSNI, the owner could not be located. However a final appeal in August by DfI was met with success when the rightful owner came forward with supporting documentation. The owner came forward having been contacted by someone who had read the article in a newspaper.
The person who wishes to remain anonymous, has now had the watch returned to them.
