    A decision on planning application T/2014/0114/F for the arc21 Residual Waste Treatment Facility has been issued.

    Application No.:T/2014/0114/F
    Location:Hightown Quarry, 40a Boghill Road, Ballyutoag, Co. Antrim and lands adjacent to the existing Boghill Road from its junction with Hydepark Road to the west of the existing access road into Hightown Quarry.
    Proposal:Proposed development of a Residual Waste Treatment Facility incorporating a Mechanical and Biological Treatment (MBT) facility, an Energy from Waste (EfW) Thermal Treatment facility, an Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Treatment facility, a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Bale Storage building, an Administration/Visitor Centre and related infrastructure including widening of the Boghill Road from its junction with Hydepark Road to west of the existing access road into Hightown Quarry site and other ancillary works.

    The Department has granted planning permission for the above development.

    A large volume of correspondence was received in respect of this planning application and therefore it has not been possible to write to all those individuals who made representations. Those who have written to the Department are asked to regard this notice as confirmation of notification of the decision in relation to the planning application.

    The decision notice and associated documentation, including the independent report and recommendation of the Planning Appeals Commission, following the hearing held on 11 and 12 October 2016, may be viewed on Public Access using the reference number quoted above.

    Please note letters of representation received after the date of the decision cannot be considered and will not be acknowledged.
