  • Minister congratulates Rivers Team on ESRI success

    Topics:
    • Rivers and flooding

    Date published: 18 April 2025

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has congratulated DfI Rivers who have won an ESRI Customer Success Award.

The award in the Use of Mobile category highlighted the benefits of digital media in flood risk management.

    Minister Kimmins said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for the Rivers Team and I congratulate all involved on their success.  With changing weather in recent years,  we are more and more witnessing climate extremes and the risk of heavy rainfall to create flooding.  The use of digital technology  for inspection and maintenance activities  has been an innovation which creates many efficiencies and most importantly assists with flood risk management.”
