Infrastructure Minister Kimmins meets the Inclusive Mobility and Transport Advisory Committee

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has met representatives from the Inclusive Mobility and Transport Advisory Committee (IMTAC).
The Minister highlighted the vital role IMTAC plays in advocating for older people, for those who are deaf or have a disability and to acknowledge the support they provide to the Department.
At the meeting IMTAC chairperson Bert Bailie presented the group’s annual report to the Minister.
Minister Kimmins said:
“I am delighted to meet IMTAC and look forward to building on the strong working relationship my Department has developed with the committee.
“IMTAC’s advice to the Department is invaluable, particularly around transport issues.
“We recently launched Foundations for a Better Future, which are seven objectives underpinning DfI’s work to shape a better tomorrow and to deliver positive change for people, the economy and the environment.
“Working with IMTAC represents our commitment to improve the inclusiveness of our society.
“I am committed to working with IMTAC and my colleagues across government to ensure that we can deliver the successful outcomes required by everyone in our society.”
IMTAC chairperson Bert Bailie said:
“We are delighted to meet with Minister Kimmins today to review progress since IMTAC’s Annual Report for 2023/24 and to take this opportunity to appraise her of the Committee’s primary areas of focus for the coming year.
“We enjoy a highly productive relationship with the Department and look forward to supporting Minister Kimmins in her work to ensure that “Including People” is at the heart of the Foundations for a Better Future programme.”
