Infrastructure Minister and Chief Planner selected as The Planner’s Women of Influence for 2026

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins and the Department’s Chief Planner Rosemary Daly have been recognised as The Planner’s Women of Influence for 2026.
The selection coincides with International Women’s Day 2026 and follows a nomination and an assessment by a team of judges drawn from the planning sector.
Congratulating Minister Kimmins and Rosemary Daly, Interim Permanent Secretary at the Department, Declan McGeown said:
“This is a tremendous honour for the Minister and Rosemary who with dedicated support and commitment of the Department’s planning group in collaboration with local councils over the last year have been leading the reforms of the planning system here. A lot of work has been done to improve performance within the system through regular engagement at all levels. The Minister and Rosemary are passionate about creating an effective and efficient planning system which is so important for many aspects of life here. Across the Department we are so proud to see both of them being recognised in this way, alongside other inspirational women working across the planning sector.”
