    Summary

    Notice is hereby given that under ‘Article 65’ of the ‘Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993’ the Department for Infrastructure proposes to provide traffic calming measures on Fennel Road, Antrim to control the speed of traffic.

    Consultation description

    The works will consist of:

    • One flat top taper sided road hump, 7.5m long, 7m wide and 80mm high
    • One flat top taper sided road hump, 10m long, 5.8m wide and 50mm high
    • Two pairs of speed cushions, each cushion 3.1m long, 1.9m wide and 80mm high
    • One flat top taper sided road hump 3.4m long, 10.6m wide and 80mm high

    All road humps will be constructed in accordance with The ‘Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999’. All road markings and signage will be in accordance with the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997’.

    A large plan of the proposals may be inspected online, free of charge, before 30 July 2021 at the Ballymena address below.

    During the current Covid-19 emergency, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the office email address dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 028 7034 1300.

    Objections to these proposals may be made in writing to the Department for Infrastructure, via e-mail to dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or via letter to the address below before 30 July 2021.
