    Summary

    Notice is hereby given that under Article 65 of the Roads (NI) Order 1993, the Department proposes to introduce road humps and other traffic calming works on Fanad Drive and Central Drive, Londonderry to control the speed of traffic.

    Consultation description

    The road humps will be constructed in accordance with The Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 and The Traffic Calming Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 and will consist of:

    • Fanad Drive - Two pair of cushion type humps, each hump approximately 3.1 metres long, 1.9 metres wide and 75mm high.
    • Central Drive - A Speed Control Table shall be placed on Central Drive at its junction with Fanad Drive for a distance of 33.4 metres. The speed table will extend into Fanad Drive East a total distance of 8.7 metres and it will extend into Fanad Drive West a total distance of 6.8 metres.

    A map showing the road humps and other traffic calming works may be inspected free of charge by appointment, please contact 028 8225 4085 to arrange a viewing.

    Objections or other representations may be made, before 3 November 2020, in writing to the Department as follows:
