    Summary

    Notice is hereby given that under ‘Article 65’ of the ‘Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993’ the Department for Infrastructure proposes the installation of traffic calming measures on Durham Street/Athol Street, Belfast to control the speed of traffic.

    Description

    The works will consist of:

    Installation:

    • 1 No flat top road hump, 8.75m long, kerb to kerb width and 50mm high

    As indicated in drawing number DE-25-11-P-0002 (A3)

    All road humps will be constructed in accordance with The ‘Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999’. All road markings and signage will be in accordance with the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997’. 

    Inspection of the proposal

    Full details showing the proposed road layout may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at DfI Roads Eastern Division, Active travel, 1st Floor Hydebank House 4 Hospital Road, Belfast, BT8 8JL.

    Access to this building is limited and inspection of the traffic calming proposal is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using activetravel.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899. 

    Making an objection

    Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing activetravel.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or within a period of 33 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
