The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 5) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.

The Order will–

  • apply a 20 miles per hour speed limit on Park View, Riverside Gardens, Riverside North and Riverside South, Castledawson; and Redford Park, Moy; and
  • apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit on a length of Kilmascally Road, Ardboe.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, access to these buildings is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail to trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads address above before 24 December 2021.
