The Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.


Consultation description

The Order will–

  • apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Hillhead Road, Toomebridge.
  • de-restrict lengths of A6 Dual Carriageway, Annaghmore Link Road, Bellshill Road, Deerpark Road and Hillhead Road, Castledawson; A6 Dual Carriageway and Moneynick Road, Randalstown; and A6 Dual Carriageway, Hillhead Road and Moneynick Road, Toomebridge so that the national speed limit applies.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

Making an objection

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads addresses above before 6 July 2023.
