    Consultation description

The site is on lands off the Feeny Road, located to the east of the new Feeny Road Junction and to the north of the new A6 Dungiven to Drumahoe dual carriageway.

The proposed Park & Ride is a ‘major’ application in planning terms as the site is greater than one hectare (1Ha) in area. The Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 places a statutory duty on applicants to consult the community prior to submitting a planning application falling within the ‘major’ category.

As part of the Pre-Application Community Consultation, a Public Online Information Event was held on Thursday 10 February 2022. Information from this online event can be found in the Documents section above.

In light of the recent changes to Public Health advice, the Department for Infrastructure intend to host further consultation events on this proposed development.

The following additional consultation events will be held to provide information to members of the public, local communities, stakeholders, and other interested parties in relation to the proposed development:

    • A Public Exhibition of information about the proposed park and ride will be on display at Dungiven Library, 107 Main Street, Dungiven from Monday 21 March 2022 to Saturday 26 March 2022 (Subject to Library opening hours).
    • Representatives from the Department for Infrastructure will be in attendance at a Public Drop-in Event at the Dungiven Library exhibition on Wednesday 23 March 2022 from 2.00pm to 7.00pm.

Details of how to send comments on the proposed development are available below and can also be found in the Dungiven P&R Brochure.
