    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places on Roads, Loading Bay and Waiting Restrictions (Newcastle) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.

    Consultation description

    The Order will—

    • authorise the use as parking places of lengths of Railway Street, Newcastle. Between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, parking will be limited to 1 hour with return to the parking place prohibited until 1 hour has expired.
    • introduce no waiting ‘at any time’ restrictions (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Beverley Gardens, Downs Road, King Street and Railway Street, Newcastle.
    • introduce no waiting Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm during the period 31 August and 30 June (loading and unloading permitted) on a length of King Street, Newcastle.

    Vehicles are excepted from the prohibitions in certain circumstances.

    The Order will also revoke and re-enact other parking places and waiting restrictions in Newcastle.

    Inspecting the proposals

    Full details are contained in the draft Order which together with a map showing the road involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at the department's address as follows:

    Making an objection

    Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing tninddownpatrick@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk before 1 December 2017.

    Revocation of Prohibition on Waiting by Vehicles - Newcastle

    Notice is hereby given that under the Roads (Restriction of Waiting) Order (Northern Ireland) 1982 the Department proposes to revoke the waiting of vehicles on the road referred to here under during the times shown in Schedule 1 below.

    Objections or representations may be made to the Department for Infrastructure at the address above before 1 December 2017.

    A map showing the road involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period stated at the address above.
