The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places on Roads (Coaches) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020.

The Order authorises the use as a parking place for coaches of―

  • a length of Merchants Quay, Newry on all days with waiting limited to 20 minutes and no return within 1 hour: and
  • lengths of Stranmillis Road, Belfast and Water Street, Londonderry on all days with waiting limited to 20 minutes and no return within 1 hour between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm and no limit between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am

Vehicles are excepted from the restriction in certain circumstances.

During the current Covid-19 emergency access to these buildings is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
