    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

    Consultation description

    The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:

    • Armagh: Brookhill Crescent between Nos. 10-12 and Drumsill Park in front of No. 31;
    • Banbridge: Dromore Street in a lay-by in front of No. 20;
    • Belfast: Benview Park in front of No. 85, Chesham Grove in front of No. 10, Cooneen Way, Castlereagh in front of No. 62, Downfine Gardens in a parking area in front of No. 10, Euston Street in a lay-by in front of No. 126, Ferguson Drive in front of No. 2, Greencastle Place in front of No. 7, Knocknagoney Avenue in a lay-by in front No. 30, North Parade in front of No. 43, Posnett Court in front of No. 8, Ravenhill Avenue in front on No. 250, Sandhurst Drive in front of No. 53, Tullyard Way in front of No. 10, Victoria Road in front of No. 64 and Woodside Drive in a parking area in front of No. 9;
    • Craigavon: Pinebank in a parking area to the side of No. 327;
    • Downpatrick: Pemberton Park in a parking area to the side of No. 9;
    • Dromore, Co Down: Gallows Street in a lay-by in front of Nos. 59 and 61 (2 bays);
    • Dundonald: Enler Park East in a parking area in front of No. 16a;
    • Greenisland: Moyard Gardens in a parking area in front of No. 38;
    • Lurgan: James Street in front of No. 2 and Manor Drive to the side of No. 24;
    • Newry: College Gardens in front of No. 29 and No. 37 (2 bays) and Parkhead Crescent in front of No. 66;
    • Portadown: Ballybay Park in a parking area in front of No. 13 and Clounagh Park in a parking area in front of No. 16a.

    All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

    The Order will remove parking places with unlimited waiting at:

    • Belfast: North Parade in front of No. 94, North Queen Street in front of No. 20, Strandview Street in front of No. 25 and Ulsterville Avenue in front of No. 104;
    • Clough, County Down: Jordanstown in front of No. 23;
    • Dundonald: Enler Park East in front of No. 49;
    • Greenisland: Moyard Gardens in a parking area in front of No. 34;
    • Lisburn: Sloan Street in front of No. 28;
    • Londonderry: Marlborough Street in front of No. 73.

    As part of a Public Realm Scheme in Enniskillen existing parking places with unlimited waiting will be removed at Belmore Street in front of No. 39 (Taco Loco); Church Street in front of No. 4 (Santander); Darling Street in front of No. 14 (Barnabas Centre) and No. 16 (Ulster Bank); East Bridge Street in front of No. 36 (Intec Centre), East Bridge Street in front of No. 16 (The Church Mouse); Halls Lane to the side of the Vicarage on Church Street and to the side of the Parochial House on Darling Street; High Street in front of No.15 (John J Sloan’s), High Street in front of No. 7 (The Works), High Street in front of No. 8 (Armstrong & Kingston’s); Townhall Street in front of No.17 (Edinburgh Woollen Mill) and Townhall Street in front of No. 37 (Frou Frou Coffee Shop) and new parking places created with parking limited to 3 hours Monday to Saturday between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm with no return to a parking place for 1 hour in Belmore Street in front of Nos. 27-29 (Lloyds Pharmacy), Nos. 38-40 (Hughes Pharmacy) and No. 28 (Fermanagh Herald); Church Street in front of Nos. 2-4, (Santander), No. 22 (Crumbs Coffee Shop) and in front of St McCartan’s Cathedral; Darling Street in front of No. 14 (Barnabas Centre) and No. 16 (Ulster Bank); East Bridge Street in front of Nos. 9–11 (United Colours of Benetton) and No. 36, (in a lay-by on the bridge in front of the Intec Centre); Halls Lane to the side of the Vicarage on Church Street and to the side of the Parochial House on Darling Street; High Street in front of Nos. 7-9 (The Works and Mercer) (2 bays), No. 8 (Armstrong and Kingston and Easons (2 bays) and No. 12 (Crowes Nest); Townhall Street in front of Nos. 33–35, (Blooming Lovely), No. 21 (Sports Direct), No. 1 (Pat’s Bar) (2 bays), Nos. 24-26 (Danske Bank) and Nos. 12-24 (Between the Bridges and Bogues Jewellers).
