The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 5) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

Consultation description

The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:

  • Carrickfergus: Sunnylands Avenue in a parking area in front of No. 23;
  • Dromore, County Down: Church View to the side of No. 20, Maypole Park in a parking area in front of No. 9 and Mount Street in front of No. 41;
  • Kilkeel: Rooney Park in a parking area in front of No. 22;
  • Larne: Fairway in front of No. 14;
  • Londonderry: Elaghmore Park in a parking area in front of No. 53 and Westway in a parking area in front of No. 124;
  • Newry: Lisgullion Park in front of No. 13;
  • Sixmilecross: Main Street in front of No. 22.

All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

The Order will also amend the description of an existing parking place with unlimited waiting at Londonderry: Elaghmore Park in front of No. 59.

Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
