    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

    Consultation description

    The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at

    • Bangor: Hamilton Road in front of Hamilton Road Baptist Church;
    • Belfast: Cliftonville Road in front of No. 178, Ligoniel Road in a lay by in front of No. 118, Oldpark Avenue in a lay-by in front of No. 123, Rosebery Road in front of No. 88, Strandburn Drive in front of No. 72, Sunnyside Drive in front of No. 31 and Ulsterville Avenue in front of No. 106;
    • Bessbrook: Green Road in front of No. 3 Fearons Terrace and John F Kennedy Park in front of No. 54;
    • Cookstown: Tullywiggan Road in front of No. 31 Tullywiggan Cottages;
    • Dromore: Bignian View Park in front of No. 15;
    • Eglinton: Main Street in front of the play park;
    • Enniskillen: Darling Street in front of No. 14 Barnabas Centre and No. 16 Ulster Bank (2 bays) and Halls Lane to the side of the Vicarage on Church Street and to the side of the Parochial House on Darling Street (2 bays);
    • Lisburn: Alanbrooke Avenue in front of No. 31;
    • Londonderry: Beechwood Avenue in front of No. 66, Lisfannon Park in front of a footpath to the side of No. 54c, Marlborough Road in front of No. 49 and Rosemount Gardens to the side of No. 50;
    • Loughgall: Annahugh Park in front of No. 6;
    • Newry: Lisgullion Park in front of No. 38 and Violet Hill Avenue in front of No. 12;
    • Rathfriland: Downpatrick Street in front of No. 14c.

    The Order will also remove parking places with unlimited waiting at

    • Belfast: Castlereagh Place in front of No. 30 and North Parade in front of No. 78;
    • Enniskillen: Darling Street (2 bays) in front of Nos 11 and 16;
    • Londonderry: Lower Violet Street in front of No. 34.

    All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

    Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

    Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads addresses above, before 17 February 2023.
