    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024.

    Consultation description

    The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:

    • Ballyronan: O’Neill Park in a parking area to the rear of No. 10;
    • Belfast: Ava Crescent in a parking area in front of No. 28, Cloghan Park in a lay-by in front of 22b, Cooke Street in a lay-by in front of No. 17, Geary Park in a parking area in front of No. 55, Hillview Avenue in front of No. 30, Locksley Park in front of Nos. 152 and 206 (2 bays), Mount Merrion Drive to the side of No. 3 Lissan Link (beside an existing bay), Pacific Avenue in front of No. 33 and Paxton Street in front of No. 4;
    • Cookstown: Fairhill Road in front of No. 28;
    • Larne: Glenfarne Place in a parking are to the side in a parking area to the side of No. 11 Cairngorm Walk;
    • Londonderry: Coshowen in a parking area to the side of No. 31, Drumleck Drive in front of No. 55, Lisfannon Park in a parking area to the side of No. 38, Minosa Court to the side of No. 35 Mimosa Court, Stewart’s Terrace in the front of No. 2 and Westway in a parking area in front of Nos. 16/18 (Re-advertisement);
    • Lurgan: Killough Gardens in a parking area to the rear of No. 57;
    • Newry: Clanrye Avenue in front of No. 30, Drumgullion Avenue in a parking area in front of No. 93, Mourne View Park in front of No. 44;
    • Portadown: Charleton Street to the side on No. 92 Thomas Street (Andersons Pharmacy);
    • Rostrevor: Bridge Street in front of No. 16 (McKeevers Chemist);
    • Tempo: Main Street in front of Nos. 46/48 (Tempo Pharmacy); and
    • Warrenpoint: Parkside in a parking area in front of No. 10.

    All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

    The Order will remove parking places with unlimited waiting at:

    • Bangor: Springfield Road in front of No. 7;
    • Belfast: Cregagh Street in front of No. 219;
    • Londonderry: Clarence Avenue in front of No. 7; and
    • Newtownards: William Street in front of No. 46.

    Inspecting the proposals

    Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.
