    Consultation description

    The Order will—

    • authorise the use as parking places on lengths of Albertbridge Road, Andersonstown Road, Cooke Street, Falls Road, Slemish Way, Slievegallion Drive and Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast. Between 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, parking will be limited to 2 hours with return to the parking place prohibited until 1 hour has expired.
    • introduce loading bays on lengths of Andersonstown Road, Belfast and prescribe the conditions under which they may be used.
    • Introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Albertbridge Road, Andersonstown Road, Ardmoulin Avenue, Carrington Street, College Square East, Divis Street, East Bridge Street, Falls Road, Kennedy Way, Lake Glen Drive, May Street, North Bank, Rowland Way, The Green, Upper Dunmurry Lane, Upper Newtownards Road and Whiterock Road, Belfast.
    • introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of Albertbridge Road, Andersonstown Road, College Square East, Coyles Place, Divis Street, East Bridge Street, Falls Road, Ladas Drive, Lake Glen Drive, May Street, Queen’s Square, Rushfield Avenue, Stewartstown Road, Upper Newtownards Road and York Street, Belfast.
    • introduce a no waiting restriction between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm Monday to Saturday (loading and unloading not permitted) on lengths of, Albertbridge Road, Andersonstown Road, Divis Street, Falls Road, Stewartstown Road, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast.
    • introduce a no waiting restriction between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm Monday to Saturday (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Albertbridge Road, Falls Road, May Street, Stewartstown Road and Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast.
    • introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Falls Road, Belfast.
    • Introduce a no waiting restriction between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Grange Park and on lengths of Ormeau Road, Belfast (replacing one between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday).

    Vehicles are excepted from the restriction in certain circumstances.

    The Order will also revoke and re-enact other existing parking places and waiting restrictions in Belfast.

    Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with maps showing the roads involved, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at the Department’s address as follows:

    Making an objection

    Any person may, before 18 May 2018, object or make other representations to the proposal in writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds for objection.
