    Consultation description

The consultation sets out proposals for a grant scheme to help those reservoir managers that need it with the initial costs of appointing both a supervising engineer and an inspecting engineer to obtain an inspection report, which is a vital first step in implementing the reservoir safety framework provided by the Act. This initial inspection process will assess the condition of controlled reservoirs and identify matters in the interest of safety.

The consultation also seeks views on the proposed criteria for which reservoir managers should receive financial help.
