    Summary

    The Department for Infrastructure is developing plans to expand the existing rapid transit network to serve the north and south of the City and extend the existing Titanic Quarter route to link with Queen’s University and Belfast City Hospital. The project is referred to as Belfast Rapid Transit Phase 2 (BRT2).

    Consultation description

    BRT2 is currently being progressed by the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) as part of the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD). Belfast Region City Deal partners are yet to determine which projects should be delivered within this ambitious growth initiative however this consultation is an important stage of the BRT2 project which is currently being considered for inclusion.

    The Department for Infrastructure would like to hear your views on route options for Phase 2 of the Belfast Rapid Transit project.

    An online consultation platform where you can view information about the proposals and leave your comments can be accessed at www.brt2.org.

    Physical copies of the consultation material can also be made available, on request, via telephone 0800 054 1160 or email BRT2@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk).

    Alternative accessible formats can also be provided, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
