Abandonment – Killinchy Road, Comber

Summary

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that the road is not necessary for road traffic, gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 to abandon an area of 1090 square metres of superseded road at Killinchy Road, Comber, extending from a point 29 metres east of its junction with Drumhirk Road, for a distance of 319 metres in a southerly direction.

Inspecting the proposal

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 23 February 2022 to 5 April 2022 at:

DfI Roads Southern Division,
Newtownards Section Office,
2 Jubilee Road,
Newtownards.

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email to southernlandsteam@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by emailing southernlandsteam@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk, stating the grounds of the objection, or by writing to the Department at:
