Term Contracts for Maintenance & Improvement to Structures 2019

Estimated value: Up to approx. £1.5m per annum
Closing date for tenders: 5 March 2019

The Term contracts for Maintenance & Improvement to Structures 2019 will include the following principal work activities: stonework; sprayed concrete; reinforced concrete repairs; working with services / utilities; vehicle restraint systems installation or repairs; reinforced concrete construction; installation of precast beams or box culverts and temporary traffic management on public roads in the following Local Government Districts:  
STN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens;
STE1 - Belfast, Lisburn & Castlereagh;
STS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon;
STW1 - Mid-Ulster;
STW3 - Fermanagh & Omagh.

Supply & Delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Workwear and Associated Products

Estimated value: Approx. £1.5m

DfI Roads & Rivers wish to award a number of contracts for the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Workwear and Associated Products to various locations across Northern Ireland.

A3 Monaghan Road, Ballyhoy

Estimated value: Approx. £815k 
Closing date for tenders: 14 January 2019

This project is for all permanent and temporary works associated with approximately 4km of carriageway resurfacing along the A3 Monaghan Road, between Farnaloy Road and Magheraville Road in Ballyhoy, Co. Armagh. The scheme will also include site clearance; raising of existing gully/manhole/service covers and frames; footway resurfacing; regrading, top-soiling and seeding existing verges/embankments; replacement of existing kerbs; replacement of existing VRS; replacement of existing signage and posts; and roadmarking.

Supply and Delivery of School Safety and Vehicle Activated Signs

Estimated value: Up to approx. £425k per annum

DfI Roads have a requirement for a call off contract for the supply, delivery, testing and commissioning of Safer Routes to School signs, 20mph signs, permanent Vehicle Activated signs, Portable Vehicle Activated signs, power sources, all fixings and associated supports.

Supply and Delivery of Street Lighting Cable, Columns, Equipment and Electrical Components

Estimated value: Approx. £2.5m

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) wishes to appoint Contractors to supply and deliver street lighting cable, columns, equipment and electrical components for use in street lighting operations to be undertaken by DfI Roads Operations & Maintenance (O&M). These items are to be supplied to O&M stores located in Carn depot (Craigavon) and Arvalee depot (Omagh).  The requirement is divided into 19 lots with a single contractor per lot.

Term Contracts for Environmental Maintenance 2019

Estimated value: Up to approx. £640k per annum
Closing date for tenders: 1 November 2018

The Term contracts for Environmental Maintenance 2019 will include the following work activities: cleaning drainage systems, inspection of piped drainage systems, weed control, maintenance of grass areas, removal of fallen trees and other associated ancillary works in the following contract areas:

EMN1 - Causeway Coast and Glens;
EME1 - Belfast;
EMS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon;
EMW1 - Mid Ulster; and
EMW2 - Derry and Strabane.

B48 Gortin Road Improvements, Omagh

Estimated value: Approx. £2.5m
Closing date for tenders: 8 June 2018

The project is for all permanent and temporary works associated with the B48 Gortin Road Improvement works within a twelve-month contract period. This will involve the provision of an enhanced pedestrian/cyclist linkages, new parking layby facilities and the widening of the existing carriageway to three/four lanes in anticipation of the future Strule Education Campus. In addition, a new signalised junction (Gortin Road/Strathroy Road) and a puffin crossing are to be constructed along with the modification and upgrading of an existing puffin crossing and signalised junction (Gortin Road/Old Mountfield Road/Lisanelly Avenue). The project is funded by the Department of Education.

Term Contracts for Asphalt Resurfacing 2017

Estimated value: Up to approx. £9m per annum
Closing date for PQQ: 22 February 2017

The Term Contracts for Asphalt Resurfacing 2017 will include the following work activities: laying various types of asphalt, asphalt concrete and thin surfacing using mechanical means and by hand, reshaping of carriageways, adjustment of street furniture to new levels, adjustment and provision of kerblines, adjustment and provision of carriageway drainage systems, traffic management, road marking, road studs and other associated ancillary works (excluding street lighting) for the following contract areas:

ARS2 (2017) - Newry, Mourne & Down
​ARW1 (2017) - Mid Ulster 
ARW2 (2017) - Derry  & Strabane
​ARW4 (2017) - Omagh

York Street Interchange

Estimated value: Approx. £90m - £110m

On hold - legal challenge to award

The proposed scheme replaces the existing signalised junction at York Street by providing direct uninterrupted connections between the A12 Westlink, M2 and M3 roads through a series of underpasses and at grade links. It includes a new bridge to carry York Street over the Westlink and also a new bridge carrying the M2 to Westlink over Dock Street.  It will provide for storm water separation with a direct outfall to the Lagan and will incorporate upgrades to the foundations of the railway viaduct to accommodate future dualling of this line.
