Blacks Road Junction Improvements

Detail: The scheme comprises carriageway widening on Blacks Road westbound between the junction with the M1 motorway offslip and the junction with Old Golf Course Road to provide two left turning lanes onto Old Golf Course Road and carriageway widening of the Old Golf Course Road to allow construction of a new auxiliary lane. The carriageway across the existing southern Blacks Road rail bridge (spanning the Belfast to Dublin rail line) is to be widened by removing the footway and realigning the kerbs. A new foot/cycle bridge will be constructed to the immediate south of the existing southern bridge to maintain connections for non-motorised users.
Strangford Lough Ferry Service Provision of Load Testing and Replacement items

Term Contracts for Maintenance & Improvement to Structures 2019

The Term contracts for Maintenance & Improvement to Structures 2019 will include the following principal work activities: stonework; sprayed concrete; reinforced concrete repairs; working with services / utilities; vehicle restraint systems installation or repairs; reinforced concrete construction; installation of precast beams or box culverts and temporary traffic management on public roads in the following Local Government Districts:
STN1 - Causeway Coast & Glens;
STE1 - Belfast, Lisburn & Castlereagh;
STS1 - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon;
STW1 - Mid-Ulster;
STW3 - Fermanagh & Omagh.
These contracts are regulated by The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and a Contract Notice has been dispatched to the Office for Official Publications of the European Union.
B48 Gortin Road Improvements, Omagh

The project is for all permanent and temporary works associated with the B48 Gortin Road Improvement works within a twelve-month contract period. This will involve the provision of an enhanced pedestrian/cyclist linkages, new parking layby facilities and the widening of the existing carriageway to three/four lanes in anticipation of the future Strule Education Campus. In addition, a new signalised junction (Gortin Road/Strathroy Road) and a puffin crossing are to be constructed along with the modification and upgrading of an existing puffin crossing and signalised junction (Gortin Road/Old Mountfield Road/Lisanelly Avenue). The project is funded by the Department of Education.
York Street Interchange

The proposed scheme replaces the existing signalised junction at York Street by providing direct uninterrupted connections between the A12 Westlink, M2 and M3 roads through a series of underpasses and at grade links. It includes a new bridge to carry York Street over the Westlink and also a new bridge carrying the M2 to Westlink over Dock Street. It will provide for storm water separation with a direct outfall to the Lagan and will incorporate upgrades to the foundations of the railway viaduct to accommodate future dualling of this line.
