About the Transport, Policy, Strategy and Legislation Division (TPSLD)
The formation of the Division was an initiative to ensure an integrated approach to land use and transportation planning.
TPSLD was created in April 2012 by the amalgamation of four divisions including the Regional Planning and Transportation Division.
The Regional Planning Unit of TPSLD recently published the Regional Development Strategy (RDS) 2035 and is responsible for developing appropriate indicators to monitor its implementation.
This Unit also has responsibility to assess all emerging development plans to determine whether or not they are in general conformity with the provisions of the RDS 2035.
The Division is responsible for the monitoring and review the implementation of the RDS and the Regional Transportation Strategy (RTS).
