The Northern Ireland Road Safety Strategy to 2020 (NIRSS) sets out a vision to improve road safety in Northern Ireland over the ten year period from 2011 – 2020. Its framework concentrates on four high-level outcomes (targets) and then a further 19 key performance indicators (KPIs) that are used to track the progress of the underlying road safety performance behind the casualty figures.
