A Freedom of Information Act 2000 request for details of the Driver & Vehicle Agency's (DVA) processes for issuing medially restricted driving licences following an illness, including: 1) any customer charter detailing response times for driving licence requests; 2) the number of staff in the team; 3) whether the Medical Driving Licence Team is fully staffed or the current number of vacancies; 4) the number of licence applications processed in the last two financial years; 5) the number of applications refused in the same period; 6) the average time taken to renew a medically restricted driving licence on receipt of a DL1 form and accompanying medical evidence; 7) the number of complaints received in 2022-2023 & 2023-2024; & 8) the percentage of complaints arising from the time to process applications.
