DfI/2019-0316: EIR Request for information on the accident statistics on the A1 road for the last 10 years

I would like to inform you of another near miss on the A1 on Thursday 22nd August. I was returning from Dublin and as I approached Banbridge a station wagon type vehicle pulled out and drove towards the central reservation area. I had to take evasive action to avoid a serious collision and I was travelling at 70 mph. I cannot understand why you are still permitting vehicles to cross this main road to turn right. I have had several near misses on this stretch of road in similar circumstances.

Can you under FOI provide me with the accident statistics on this road for the last 10 years? Additionally please treat this as an official complaint.
