The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Belfast Road, Carrickfergus (Part-Time 20mph Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 379) which will come into operation on 8 November 2016.

Details

The Order will introduce a part-time 20 miles per hour speed limit on a length of Belfast Road, Carrickfergus adjacent to the Model Primary School, Carrickfergus.

The effect of the Order is that the national speed limit, which is applicable to that length of Belfast Road, shall be reduced to 20 miles per hour when a 20 miles per hour limit is indicated by means of a variable message traffic sign.
