Accessible Transport Strategy 2025: Stakeholder Engagement Emerging Issues

This Stakeholder Engagement Emerging Issues paper examines transport issues raised during a series of meetings facilitated by the voluntary sector with older people and people with a disability and their carers. 

The engagement with these groups was arranged as part of the policy development for a new Accessible Transport Strategy 2025 to identify high level objectives to inform the new Strategy and its implementation.

Attitudinal Survey

The Department in conjunction with the Inclusive Mobility and Transport Advisory Committee (Imtac) carried out an Attitudes of Disabled and Older People to Public Transport, November 2014 – January 2015 survey and the results can be viewed below :
