Belfast Rapid Transit Phase 2 – Route Options Public Consultation

Consultation opened on 26 July 2021. Closing date 04 October 2021.

Summary

The Department for Infrastructure is developing plans to expand the existing rapid transit network to serve the north and south of the City and extend the existing Titanic Quarter route to link with Queen’s University and Belfast City Hospital. The project is referred to as Belfast Rapid Transit Phase 2 (BRT2).

Consultation description

BRT2 is currently being progressed by the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) as part of the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD). Belfast Region City Deal partners are yet to determine which projects should be delivered within this ambitious growth initiative however this consultation is an important stage of the BRT2 project which is currently being considered for inclusion.

The Department for Infrastructure would like to hear your views on route options for Phase 2 of the Belfast Rapid Transit project.
