Notification of Decision - North South Interconnector

A decision on planning applications O/2009/0792/F and O/2013/0214/F for the North South Interconnector has been issued.

Application No.: O/2009/0792/F & O/2013/0214/F
Proposal: From lands at Trewmount Road, Turleenan, Moy, County Tyrone to the townlands of Crossreagh and Crossbane, County Armagh.
Location: Proposed electricity substation on land to the rear of 152 Trewmount Road, Turleenan, Moy, County Tyrone, and erection of 400-kilovolt overhead electrical transmission line from there to the townlands of Crossreagh and Crossbane, County Armagh with amendments to existing 275-kilovolt line (O/2009/0792/F); and associated works including site levelling and preparation, new access points and access lanes, working and stringing areas, guarding, fencing and related mitigation works (O/2013/0214/F).

The Department has granted planning permission for the above development.

A large volume of correspondence was received in respect of the planning applications and therefore it has not been possible to write to all those individuals who made representations.  Those who have written to the Department are asked to regard this notice as confirmation of notification of the decision in relation to the planning applications.

The decision notices and associated documentation, including the independent report and recommendation of the Planning Appeals Commission, following the hearing held on 22, 23, 24 and 27 February 2017, may be viewed on via Public Access using the reference numbers quoted above.
