    Notice is hereby given that under Article 65 of the Roads (NI) Order 1993, the Department proposes to introduce flat top road humps and other traffic calming works at Greencastle, Omagh.

    Consultation description

    The road humps will be constructed in accordance with the Road Humps Regulations (NI) 1999, other features will be constructed in accordance with the Traffic Calming Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995.

    The scheme will consist of one pair of speed cushions approximately 3.1 metres long, 1.9 metres wide and 75mm high or tapered edge road humps at the following locations:

    1. Greencastle Road – adjacent to street light number 123, south of the entrance to Sheskinshule View.
    2. Greencastle Road – approximately 10m south west of street light number 130 and north east of junction with Maryville Park.
    3. Greencastle Road – adjacent to street light number 135.
    4. Greencastle Road – approximately 35m north east of street light number 147 and approximately 75m north east of the junction with Crockanboy Road.
    5. Crockanboy Road – adjacent to street light number 145 and west of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary school.
    6. Crockanboy Road – adjacent to street light number 142 and adjacent to eastern boundary of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary school.
    7. Crockanboy Road – adjacent to street light number 140 and approximately 50m west of the junction with Greencastle Road.
    8. Crockanboy Road – adjacent to street light number 149 and approximately 35m south east of house number 286.
    9. Sheskinshule View – approximately 8m west of street light number 2 and directly north of boundary between house number 1 and 3.
    10. Maryville Park – One tapered edge road hump approximately 6.4 metres long, 3.0 metres wide and 75mm high adjacent to street light number 4 and house numbers 12 and 13.
    11. Maryville Park – One tapered edge road hump approximately 4.3 metres long, 3.0 metres wide and 75mm high adjacent to build out in front of house numbers 43 and 44.

    Inspecting the proposal

    A map showing the road humps and other traffic calming works may be inspected free of charge during office hours at the above mentioned office by appointment only, email trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk to arrange.
