Parking Places for Medical Practitioners – Belfast and Lurgan

Summary

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places on Roads (Medical Practitioners), Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Lurgan) and On-Street Parking Orders (Amendments) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.

Consultation description

The Order will:-

  • remove 2 parking places for Doctors on lengths of Lower Crescent, Belfast and replace them with Pay and Display parking places with waiting limited to 4 hours between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm with no return within 1 hour on Monday to Saturday; and
  • replace a parking place for Doctors on a length of William Street, Lurgan operating all days of the week with:-
  1. a parking place for use by Doctors during the hours between 8.00 am and 6.15 pm on the days Monday to Friday inclusive; and
  2. for use by the public at all other times with parking limited to 2 hours with no return within 1 hour on Saturday between 8.30 am and 6.15 pm

Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.

Inspecting the proposals

During the current Covid-19 emergency access to these buildings is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads addresses above before 1 October 2021.
