The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024.

Consultation description
The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:
- Ballymena: Church Road, Gracehill in front of Gracehill Old School;
- Belfast: Eglantine Avenue in front of No. 13, Jubilee Avenue in front of No. 5, Lichfield Avenue in front of No. 41, Lothair Avenue in front of No. 34, Marlborough Park North in front of No. 38, Southwell Street in a parking area in front of No. 14 North Hill Street and Queen Victoria Gardens in front of Block 13;
- Derry/Londonderry: Coshowen in a parking area opposite No. 29 and to the side of No. 29 (2 bays) and in a parking area to the side of No. 31, Drumleck Drive in front of No. 55, Elaghmore Park in a parking area to the rear of No. 17, Elaghmore Park in a parking area in front of No. 53 (Re-Advertisement), Liscloon Drive in front of No. 36, Lisfannon Park in a parking area to the side of No. 38, Marlborough Road in front of No. 2 and No. 23 (2 bays); Minosa Court to the side of No. 35 Mimosa Court, Park Avenue to the side of No. 25, Rosemount Avenue in front of No. 59, Stewart’s Terrace in the front of No. 2 and Westway in a parking area in front of Nos. 16/18 (Re-advertisement);
- Irvinestown: Brownhill Meadows in a parking area in front of No. 11;
- Larne: Glynnview Avenue to the side of No. 39 Curran Road and Newington Avenue in front of No. 42;
- Magherafelt: Castledawson Road in front of No. 16.
The Order will create a parking place with limited waiting Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with waiting limited to 1 hour with no return to a parking place for 1 hour at Derry/Londonderry: Crawford Square in front of No. 8. (Re-Advertisement).
The Order will also amend the description of an existing parking place at Dundonald: Ballybeen Park in front of No. 27D.
The Order will also insert a definition for Derry/Londonderry when referring to the City of Londonderry in the Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016.
All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.
The Order will remove parking places with unlimited waiting at:
- Belfast: Nevis Avenue in front of No. 60;
- Derry/Londonderry: Clarence Avenue in front of No. 7 and Northland Avenue in front of No. 28;
- Irvinestown: Brownhill Meadows in a parking area in front of No. 9.
