The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 9) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.

Consultation description

The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:

  • Belfast: Ardcarn Green in a parking area opposite No. 2, Greenore Street in front of No. 94 and Willowfield Gardens in front of No.46;
  • Coshquin: Benview Road in a lay-by in front of Little Acorns Community Playgroup;
  • Downpatrick: St Dympna’s Park in front of No. 12;
  • Holywood: Kinnegar Road in front of No. 16;
  • Londonderry: Lisfannon Park in a parking area in front of Nos. 12/14 (in front of the grassed area) (Re-advertisement).

The Order will also remove parking places with unlimited waiting at:

  • Belfast: Marguerite Park in front of No. 19;
  • Londonderry: Asylum Road in front of No. 10.

All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

During the current Covid-19 emergency, access to these buildings is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads addresses above before 19 November 2021.
