    Summary

    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 8) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

    Consultation description

    The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at:

    • Belfast: Dunmore Avenue in a lay-by in front of No. 1 Dunmore Mews, London Street in front of No. 50 and No. 54 (2 bays), Lothair Avenue in front of No. 30, Moorgate Street in front of No. 33 and Wheatfield Crescent adjacent to No. 46;
    • Dundonald: Coronation Park in front of No. 82;
    • Glenarm: Toberwine Street in front of No. 39;
    • Larne: Albert Street to the side of No. 32 Carson Street and The Roddens in front of No. 17; and
    • Londonderry: Circular Road in a lay-by in front of No. 76, Limewood Street in front of No. 18 and Lisfannon Park in a parking area in front of No. 64.

    The Order will also create a parking place with waiting limited to 2 hours Monday to Saturday between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm with no return to a parking place for 2 hours at Coalisland: The Square in front of No. 23 (Optometrist).

    All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

    The Order will remove parking places with unlimited waiting at

    • Ballymena: Suffolk Street in front of No. 50;
    • Carnlough: Croft Road in front of No. 32; and
    • Londonderry: Lawrence Hill in front of Nos. 8/10.
