    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2023.

    Consultation description

    The Order will create parking places with unlimited waiting at

    • Ahoghill: Church Street in front of No. 15;
    • Belfast: Carncaver Road in front of No. 28, Holland Drive in front of No. 5, Lismain Street in front of No. 11, Reid Street in front of No. 45, Stracam Corner in a parking area in front of Nos. 24/26; Victoria Drive in front of No. 47 (Re-advertisement) and Watt Street in front of No. 7;
    • Londonderry: Fergleen Park in a lay-by in front of No. 30 and Moyola Drive to the side of No. 60;
    • Lurgan: Francis Street in a parking area to the rear of No. 142 Edward Street and Spelga Park in front of No. 53;
    • Moneyreagh: Hillmount Drive in front of No. 4;
    • Newtownards: Donaghadee Road in front of No. 6;
    • Portglenone: Finlaystown Road in a layby in front of No. 1.

    All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.

    The Order will also remove parking places with unlimited waiting

    • Larne: Bay Road in front of No. 62;
    • Lurgan: Spelga Park in front of No. 57;
    • Newtownards: Regent Street in front of No. 2A.

    Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the relevant office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

    Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing or emailing the Department at the DfI Roads addresses above, before 17 February 2023.
